It’s utterly amazing how Earl navigates his way through the music singing and playing both the organ and piano all at the same time. Singing and playing was something that even the great Nat King Cole couldn’t do! Yes! Many people don’t notice it, but you only hear Nat’s piano when he’s NOT singing. He adds little fills at the end of his phrases, but he doesn’t do full blown accompaniment the way Grant does! I just finished playing it all the way through and I had to come back and say, “WOW!!” The is a GREAT rip of a GREAT album. Perfect from start to finish. When I posted above, I had only played a little and it was obvious is was going to be good but I didn’t expect it to be this good or the rip to be this perfect all the way through. Thanks again!

This is going to make me smile and I ain’t even heard the first chord strike. Many thanks Raphy for bringing something fresh to enliven and broaden these wonderful pages. I’ve never heard of Earl Grant for my sins, but I will be sure to remedy that situation shortly. The lovely clip sure brings home the vocal connection with Nat King Cole.
